Annual Canaan 5k Walk / Run for Missions... Monday, Sept. 01, 2008-7:00 a.m. at the main campus! Run or walk to support missions work worldwide...and get in shape!
• $10 entrance fee for adults / youth and college students $5. Registration forms will be available next week.

OPEN GYM... OPEN GYM is now being held on TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAYS at 7:00 p.m. Invite your friends to come out and play! Open Gym will be limited to the first 15 people who come.
• PLEASE NOTE: We have been charging $4 a person to play ball. Canaan members can play for free, but we will be charging non-members. Proceeds will be going towards supporting Hilda's Place, the homeless shelter that Canaan serves.

Service Begins at 11:00 a.m. SHARP! We ask everyone to please be ON TIME for GOD'S TIME in worship. Come early and receive greater blessing!

College Group Lunch... There are still some of you who owe money from last week's college students' luncheon (freshmen excluded). Please pay Chris Rim as soon as possible. Cost was $8 a person.

Teachers Wanted for Children's Ministry & Youth Group... We are recruiting new teachers for the fall semester for both children's ministry and youth group. If you have a heart for kids or teens, please talk to Pastor Leo.

Downtown College Students! (UIC, Depaul, Art Institute, etc.)... Shuttles for downtown students to church will begin on August 31st. Please keep in mind the shuttle schedule (below). For more information, talk to Michael Chen at 847.691.2276. Northwestern shuttle will begin in late September.
